The first fiction project I shot was the short film ‘Da Yie’ directed by Anthony Nti. In 2020 it won the ‘Grand Prix’ at Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. Ever since the film travelled around the world and received more than 100 awards including 4 awards for ‘Best Cinematography’.
Meanwhile I continued working on documentaries, music videos, commercials and short films. I travelled to Northern Ireland with Annabel Verbeke to shoot ‘Four Seasons In A Day’. The documentary won the Emerging International Filmmaker Award at Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival 2021
In 2021 I shot my first fiction series ‘Hacked’ for GoPlay / Streamz with director Laura Van Haecke. The series got awarded ‘Best Short Form Series’ at Canneseries 2022.
I navigate between documentary and fiction and consciously do not choose one over another. Both have their unique ways of approaching a story, therefore the experience coming from both worlds enhances one another.
